Alright so maybe that’s an exaggeration; but these tips on how to make dog treats will surely make you a hit to any beloved canine. The best part about it is—they are pretty easy to make too.

Let’s begin with the more savory treats shall we? If you are having chicken for dinner then it will be a perfect time to prepare your doggie’s little snack items as well. Cut the chicken you can spare in little strips and spread them over a baking sheet with plenty of cheese sprinkled on top of them. Bake them in a pre heated oven of about 110?C until it becomes crisp. Let it cool and its ready to be served.

Boil liver or beef heart in water and season with spices your dog seem to like. Let simmer for about 2 hours or until well cooked and slice them in chewable treats. You can place these in a plastic air tight bag and freeze them until needed. Make sure you completely thaw them out first before you feed it to the pup lest he gets indigestion and iced teeth.

If these are not available, hotdogs are acceptable and even appreciated doggie snacks. Cut the well cooked sausages or hot dogs in slivers and microwave them until they are hard. Have these on hand for ready noshes anytime of the day. Are you one of those owners who hold the treats between your teeth? Then savory, human friendly nibbles like these will be your best friend.

How about some sweet treats? Mix 2 Tbsp honey, 2 ¾ cups water, an egg and a dash of vanilla in a bowl. Add in a small jar of applesauce and blend all the ingredients well. In another bowl put in 4 cups of flour, 1 Tbsp baking powder and 1Tbsp nutmeg powder and combine all these together. Fold in the batter of the first bowl into the second bowl, thoroughly blending until it the whole mixture is perfectly incorporated into each other. Scoop out dollops of the prepared batter onto a grease lined tray and bake at 350? F for one hour. This delicious dessert is good for 12 servings—6 for Fido and 6 for you.

You can add or subtract ingredients but make sure to research first before you do. Certain food that we eat are hazardous to canines like chocolates, grapes and most nuts. These homemade dog treats are easy to make but always exercise special care and consult with the vet before any significant change in their diets are made.

Tips For Locating Healthy Dog Food Recipes

Healthy dog food recipes are something that many of us are going to have a difficult time in locating for our pets, but it is something that we all are going to be looking for at various times. One thing that you will probably encounter if your like me is when you do a search you will find hundreds of products claiming to be the healthiest for your pet, but then you read on or purchase the product only to find that some of the recipes that it provides uses ingredients that your vet told you never to give to your pet. here are some tips that I have used to help me locate healthy dog food recipes.

The first tip that I have for helping you out is to make sure that the person who wrote either the electronic formatted book or the paper written book is a dog lover, vet, or dog nutrition specialist. Now this might be a little bit harder to do than you would think because some of the people do not come right out and say anything about their credentials, but if you are able to find one that is willing to say what their credentials are right away then you can probably trust them more than you could other sources.

The second tip would be to try to read as much on the product before you purchase it. I know that this might not be possible since some of the electronic formatted items do not have reviews online, but most of the ones that I have seen have some great testimonials on the website that will allow you to see what other people thought of the same product that you are considering purchasing. Reading a variety of reviews is what helped me pick out the healthy dog food recipes book that I use.
